Having passed an irresponsible, pork bloated, badly crafted, ineffective so called “bailout bill” in the fall, Congress and the new administration has predictably followed up with breathtakingly irresponsible, massively pork bloated, remarkably badly crafted, guaranteed ineffective, so called “stimulus bill” The advocates of this bill should be embarrassed. But it is clear from the passage and failure of "bailout" bill followed up by this Christmas tree, that’s not the going to be the case.

If Congress is really interested in making significant positive differences in the economy, with far ranging short and long term benefits including job creation, equities recovery, new business development and increased private sector investment then they will pass major capital gains, business and income tax cuts next week. This the solution for a free nation. However, it is clear that a socialist, government central planning solution is currently favored by the President and too many in the House and Senate.

This path breaks my heart and will likely break this great country.

I fear this is the intent.
